DESCRIPTION
Walking along the ridge of Pat Sin Leng feels like stepping into a story.
This handmade monochrome linoprint captures the winding trail across six peaks, as if seen through the eyes of a hiker. A lone figure walks ahead under an umbrella, moving toward the misty summits. To the right, a tree stands firm, watching over the path. The mountains stretch beyond, shaped by time and legend.
Pat Sin Leng, named after the Eight Immortals of Chinese mythology, carries a sense of mystery. Each peak is tied to an ancient tale, and when the clouds roll in, it’s easy to believe they still linger here.

The printmaking process
This linoprint is created through a meticulous three-step handmade process:
- Sketching: Each illustration starts as a hand-drawn design
- Engraving: The image is carefully carved into a linoleum plate
- Printing: Ink is applied, and the design is hand-pressed onto paper
Because of this handmade process, slight variations and ink marks on the back of the paper are normal, making every piece one of a kind.
